LDC Round 9: Immortals edge Los Pepines by two points

The Regular Season in LDC just ended. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Sixth-ranked Los Pepines (0-6) made lots of trouble for leader Immortals (6-0) on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only two-point victory 101-99. However their fans expected much easier game. Immortals looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Oliver Garcia (188-1996, agency: Ballerz Unlimited LLC) who scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Dwight Gentry (183-1987, college: UT Arlington) chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Richard Polanco (203-1998) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Los Pepines' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Undefeated Immortals have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Los Pepines at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Santiago. Fourth ranked Santiago Max (3-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Capitanes (2-4) 109-106 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for guard Oliver Ferreira (189-1993) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Franklyn Jaquez contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Victor Liz (193-1986) answered with 32 points for Capitanes. Santiago Max moved-up to third place, which they share with Del Patio. Capitanes at the other side keep the fifth position with four games lost.

The best stats of 9th round was 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Adris Rodriguez of Capitanes.



Los Pepines - Immortals 99-101
